Orders, shipping & tracking
How long does delivery take?
We work hard to fulfil orders as quickly as possible and normally quote up to 10 working days for new orders, (typically most deliveries arrive within 3-7 working days).
How are HOTBIN's shipped?
We use DPD for all our UK HOTBIN deliveries. For smaller orders including spares and accessories we use Royal Mail 2nd class postage (these can take from 5 to 10 working days).
Can my delivery be left safe?
Yes, a signature is not required upon delivery. If you are likely to be out when the delivery is made and wish to provide us with a ‘safe place’ or a ‘deliver to neighbour’ option, we can pass this information onto our couriers DPD Local. Instructions can be left during order checkout. Orders with specific delivery instructions (eg. 'leave round back') are left at the customers own risk.
Goods damaged on delivery?
HOTBINs are shipped in durable, heavy duty corrugated boxes to ensure that your product arrives in excellent condition.
Should you notice damage after the delivery has been signed for (or left safe), please contact us on 0808 168 8499 or info@hotbincomposting.com and we will rectify this for you.
Please ensure all original packaging is with the product.
Returns, exchanges & change of mind
What is your return policy?
If you are not happy with your purchase, then under the 'online distance selling obligations' we will accept a return and refund your purchase price (minus a deduction to cover the cost of organising the collection and return of the Goods to us).
You must inform us within 14 days of receiving the product. The item must be returned in an unused and undamaged condition in its original packaging.
What if I want to cancel?
An order can be cancelled by the customer for a full refund ONLY PRIOR to delivery confirmation email being sent. If the order has been shipped a fee will be deducted from your refund.
What are the fees for returns?
We can arrange collection and returns if you change your mind, however we will deduct fees as below to cover the return costs.

£40.00 per HOTBIN Mini 100l
£18.00 per HOTBIN Plinth

Payments, refunds & offers
When can I expect my refund?
Please be patient, it can take our warehouse up to two weeks to receive and process your return. We'll be sure to send a refund notification email as soon as we've issued your refund.
Can I pay for my order in instalments?
Am I too late to use my discount code?
We are happy to refund your discount code if you have forgotten to apply it, providing it was valid on the date of purchase. We cannot refund any discount code quoted to us on orders placed outside of an offer's validity period.
