A heated compost bin with no power needed

Many people search for a heated compost bin, but a HOTBIN doesn’t need electricity or any external power source. The heat comes from the composting itself: bacteria break down your waste and give off heat, and HOTBIN’s insulated walls hold it in. That keeps composting rapid all year round, so waste breaks down much faster than in a cold heap.

Hot composting without turning

Traditional hot composting usually means regular turning to keep air moving. HOTBIN has aeration built in, with an aeration base plate in the Mini and 200L and aeration pipes in the Mega, so there’s no back-breaking turning or tumbling. Just add waste little and often and let the heat do the work.

Which hot composter is right for you?

The HOTBIN Mini (100L) is a slimline hot compost bin for smaller gardens, staying hot on just one small kitchen caddy a week. The HOTBIN (200L) is our all-rounder for 3-5 person households. For big gardens, allotments and community projects, the HOTBIN Mega (450L and 700L) handles large volumes of waste.
